Korean Wild Chives 달래 (160g)

Air-flown from Korea Every Thu!

What is Korean Dallae?

It resembles western chives but they have a mini-sized bulb. These bite-sized bulbs have a delicious mild and sweet onion flavor – that delivers a refreshing lift to Korean dishes like Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Stew) and Jangajji (Korean Pickles).

The Salty/Umami Flavours of Fermented Soybean Stew

If you're new to fermented soybean stew, you may be a little unfamiliar with the savoury smell, but you'll soon fall in love with it in the end. Put soybean paste in boiling water, add tofu, onions, etc., and season with soy sauce and salt. Add the wild chives and boil it a little bit. Now it can be served!

How do you cook wild chives?

  • Mix with sour cream for potatoes
  • Put them in a salad, pasta or soup
  • Garnish a vegetable dish
  • Make it as kimchi
  • Try mixing it with soy sauce, red pepper powder, etc.

Storage Instructions

  • Select wild chives carefully as the stems are thin and long
  • After sprinkling a little water, wrap it in a kitchen towel or newspaper, seal it in a plastic pack, and store it in the refrigerator (0-10℃)
  • Can be stored in a plastic pack and frozen (when stored in a freezer, it cannot be used as a raw vegetable and can be used for soup or stew)
