What Are Short Ribs?

These ribs come from the beef chuck of an animal, and consist of the ends of the ribs near the breastbone.

Cooking Recipes For Galbijjim(Braised Short Ribs)

  1. Fill a large, heavy pot halfway with water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Drain the ribs, rinse again, and add to the boiling water.
  2. Blanch for about 5 minutes, stirring a few times. Drain and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Put the ribs back to the pot and add the seasoning sauce. Cook over medium-high heat for 20 minutes.
  4. Stir in the various vegetables and then turn down the heat to low, cooking for 1 hour.
  5. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a large platter and sprinkle with the pine nuts, finally it's done!
